my delicious good bye post

For the Chimichurri Sauce:
½ cup packed fresh cilantro, finely chopped
½ cup packed fresh parsley, finely chopped
2 tbsp. packed fresh oregano, finely chopped
¼ red onion, finely chopped (about 3 tbsp.)
1 tbsp. Minced Garlic
2 tbsp. Lemon Juice
2 tbsp. Red Wine Vinegar

For the Skirt Steak
1 lbs. skirt steak, cut into four 4-oz. pieces
2 packets Sazón without Annatto

Since this is my las blog, im gonna tell you about one of my favorite dishes, Churrasko with chimmichurri sauce. Its not as difficult as you think, its quite simple actually. You start off by with a small bowl, combine cilantro, parsley, oregano, onion, and garlic. Stir in lemon juice and vinegar, then slowly drizzle it in olive oil, stirring constantly until they are combined. Now, my favorite part, season with adobo. And finally, cover and refrigerate until ready to use. once you are ready to eat it, prepare the grill to medium high heat, or heat grill pan over medium to high heat. sprinkle steal on both sides with sazon and adobo. cook steak, flipping, until golden brown, about 6 minuets for medium rare.
then transfer the steaks to the serving plates and we left the best for last, top with chimmichurri sauce and enjoy!

a gourmet meal straight out of your kitchen!

Ever wanted a gourmet burger but don’t want to go out to eat one? Well it’s not too difficult to make, give it a try! You can start by preheating an outdoor grill on medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate. Then, mix in the ground chicken, add 1/3 cup cilantro, Cheddar cheese, garlic, jalapeno pepper, lime juice, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper together in a bowl; and now shape them into 4 patties.
Once that is done, cook the patties on grill until the bottom has turned brown. Let them sit for about 3 to 4 minutes, then flip the burgers and top them with a slice of Cheddar cheese or any cheese of your choosing. Continue cooking until no longer pink in the center, 1 to 2 minutes more. Once you think that they are ready, put the burgers onto a plate to rest until the juices are reabsorbed into the meat, so for about 3 minutes. Now you are almost done, put burgers onto split buns and top with guacamole and cilantro for a real punch of flavor! Now you are done and ready to enjoy your meal!

       1 1/2 pounds ground chicken

1/2 cup minced yellow onion
Onions Yellow/Brown

Camaron Enchilado

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
1/2  to 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
4  garlic cloves, minced
1  (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
1 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/4 cup light coconut milk
2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro

This is a pretty simple traditional Cuban dish that you can serve to the whole family. It's not difficult or expensive, and it's super delicious! Now the steps are easy, first you heat oil in a large skillet on medium or high heat, then you add the onions and  sauté them for 2 minutes. Once that's done, add bell peppers, crushed red pepper, salt, and garlic, once that's done, sauté it for 4 minutes. Now you're gonna add even more flavor and throw in the tomatoes & allow them to cook for 6 minutes or until liquid almost evaporates, but continue to stir it frequently.
Now that you made the sauce, now it's time for the shrimp! Put the sauce into the shrimp, and cook it for 4 minutes or until shrimp are done, again, make sure you're stirring frequently! Once all that is done, remove the shrimp mixture from heat, and stir it in coconut milk for extra flavor, my grandma showed me that trick! And then when all that is done top it off with some spice, and sprinkle it with some cilantro.
Now you're all done and ready to enjoy your Cuban meal!

A little healthy twist

I'm gonna try to be a little more healthy, all my foods have been pretty fattening, so I'm gonna try to be a little more nitricious this time. This week I had leftover mango and pineapple juice, so I decided to make a really simple smoothie. All you need is a spoonful of cream of coconut to add some sweetness and special flavor with a tropical flare. You could even use frozen pineapple juice ice cubes instead for more of a slush drink. You'll need about 8 pineapple ice cubes, some mango slices and some sugar or honey to sweeten it up a bit. Once you've got all that, just bled it up for a couple seconds, but not too long or the ice will melt and it'll become too watery. And once all that's done, pour yourself a nice glass and enjoy!

Simple Sandwich

I'm always hungry at school and never have anything to eat because it takes so long to make something that'll be good by the time it's lunch time! So if you're in the same boat as me, I may have something for you! So this morning I decided to conquer this hunger that I face daily & make myself something. It was quick, and took very little food. All you'll need is two slices of bread, mayo, or butter whichever you prefer, your selection of cheese and your selection of Ham or turkey. Now, just toast the bread, to where you like it. Apply your choice of spread onto it, and then put on your choice of cheese and meat, and put it in the iron press to melt the cheese & compact the sandwich. Now that that's all done, you should have a really good looking easy sandwich ready for you for later!!! I hope everyone enjoys their sandwich as much as I do!

Caesar salad!

So proms coming up soon so everyone is trying to eat healthy to look good and fit into their dresses! So here is something just as yummy as it is healthy! How about a Chicken Caesar Salad? All you need is, 1 teaspoon canola oil, 1/4 teaspoon salt, Freshly ground pepper, to taste, 8 cups washed, dried and torn romaine lettuce, 1 cup fat-free croutons, 1/2 cup Caesar Salad Dressing, 1/2 cup Parmesan curls, and Lemon wedges.

It’s also as easy as it is healthy and yummy! So all you need to do is prepare a grill or preheat broiler, then rub the chicken with oil and season it with salt and/or pepper. Then you can either grill or broil the chicken until its ready and browned and has no trace of pink in the center, let it cook for about 3 to 4 minutes per side. Then just combine the lettuce and croutons in a large bowl, toss in with Caesar Salad Dressing and put it in a bowl and cut up some chicken into 1/2-inch slices and sprinkle it over the salad finally, top with Parmesan curls. once its all ready, serve it immediately, with lemon wedges for extra yummy flavor! Enjoy and look great at Prom!

French Onion

A soup that'll normally cost someone like $15 at a nice restaurant will only cost you around $5. All you need is, 1/2 cup unsalted butter, 4 onions, sliced, 2 garlic cloves, chopped, 2 bay leaves, 2 fresh thyme sprigs, salt and freshly ground black pepper, 1 cup red wine, about 1/2 bottle, 3 heaping tablespoons all-purpose flour, 2 quarts beef broth, 1 baguette, sliced, 1/2 pound grated Gruyere, to enjoy a homemade French Onion Soup.

You start off by melting a stick of butter in a large pot over medium heat, then you add the onions, garlic, bay leaves, thyme, and salt and pepper and cook until the onions are very soft and caramelized, so for about 25 minutes. Add the wine, and bring it to a boil, reduce the heat and let it simmer until the wine has evaporated and the onions are dry, for about 5 minutes. Discard the bay leaves and thyme sprigs for now. Turn the heat down to medium low so the flour doesn't burn, and cook for 10 minutes to cook out the raw flour taste. Now add the beef broth, bring the soup back to a simmer, and cook for 10 minutes. Season, to taste, with salt and pepper.
now you’ll add the bread. Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet in a single layer. Sprinkle the slices with the Gruyere and broil until bubbly and golden brown, so for 3 to 5 minutes.
now the soups are about ready to eat, but be careful though! It’s going to be really hot! Enjoy! Bon Apettitte!
